We hired Ottolia & Barnes Architecture to design our new home after driving by their home and inquiring who designed it. We appreciated how the design of their home was contemporary while respecting the charm of the neighborhood. My wife and I enjoyed working with Domingo and Dorothy because they each had a unique, yet complementary, perspective on design. They really seemed to enjoy working together and had a clear understanding of the challenges all families encounter throughout the architectural design process and during construction. Because of stringent local regulations, the approval process was very laborious. They navigated the litigious process and have designed our dream home and were able to secure the support of neighbors.
Both Dorothy and Domingo are very personable, good listeners, and took our needs and desires into account in the design. They were able to balance each of our unique desires for the architectural space into one beautifully cohesive home. Our home has a wonderful sense of scale; the interior spaces are filled with natural light and are thoughtful and elegantly planned. They are passionate about designing spaces their clients will enjoy.

Great work! I hired Domingo for an investment property and was very impressed with his work and dedication to my project. He was always ready to go above and beyond to help me keep on schedule. I ended up hiring him a second time for my own personal home. My wife and I are extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend him to everyone. Thanks again Domingo!

Dorothy and Domingo Ottolia are amazing to work with. We had an extremely pleasant experience and are thrilled with the outcome. They were friendly, respectful, patient and carefully listened to our requirements. During the design process, they provided us with out-of-the box ideas for making our new space extremely functional and aesthetically pleasing. Domingo carefully thought about how we would use the space and drew the plans to reflect that. There was a tremendous amount of detail in our plans, so that when we were in the bidding and construction phases, there were fewer issues and unanswered questions. We have referred them to numerous people and will continue to do so!

Domingo Ottolia of Ottolia & Barnes is simply the BEST! Not only is Domingo a superbly talented professional, he is, more importantly, a wonderful human being. He worked tirelessly with us on our complete residential renovation/addition from beginning to end with unwavering dedication, thoughtful guidance and exceptional patience. When unexpected issues came up during construction (which is always the case with renovation), Domingo's calm demeanor and deliberate solutions kept our project on track and moved it forward. His design aesthetics is clean, modern, and tasteful. The end result is a beautiful, functional house that we absolutely love! We could not be happier with Domingo and count our blessings to have gotten to know and work with him and his wife/partner Dorothy Barnes!

Ottolia & Barnes Architects did all the redesign work on our "whole house remodel". I greatly enjoyed working with them. They brought a high degree of professionalism and a lot of creativity to the project. They worked to be sure that the design was what we wanted, and that we would be happy with the result. Turnaround time on their work was reasonable and dependable. They helped us navigate the confusing world of building codes, and they proposed some nice things for the project that we would not have ever thought of. We often get nice comments from people about our newly remodeled home. In addition, they were able to provide a landscape plan that also has received many compliments from visitors.
If you're looking for great architects who can do everything for your project at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Ottolia & Barnes.
